THE "CIPOTE MARIMONDA"
One of my two favorite carnival moments was being part of the "batalla de flores" as a marimonda. it was really fun, I had an awesome time with all of my friends, we dance a lot and also walk a lot.
the journey was quite long and tiring because of the sun and all the dancing; we had to be encoraging the viewers all the time but eventhough all the above, it was an unforgettable experience for me. 
BEER FESTIVAL 2013
After the batalla de flores, me and my friends went to the beer festival, we were really exited for all the artists but specially arcangel.
I was really tired but we were all happy to be there so we endure all the day, after all the presentations, we had to walk like 5 miles to get a taxi, as we were a lot of people we dispersed at the exit of the stadium and only a few ( including me) walk until we get in a fast food restaurant, that day was really amazing but also exhausting, the next day I wasnt able to get up .

ResponderEliminarI really like your post about your favorite carnival moments, because you talk about a very important thing for Barranquilla´s Carnival, which is the "Cipote Marimondas", a traditional comparsa and costume of the carnival.So its really nice to see that no matter how much time has passed, Marimondas remain important for people in Barranquilla.
